NATIONAL AND
INTERNATIONAL CONTACTS
NATIONAL
The Center for Architectural Studies has established permanent contacts with
Bulgarian institutions and universities working in different fields of the
history and theory of architecture such as the University of Architecture,
Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia, the St. Clement University in Sofia,
the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, the National Institute for Monuments
of Culture, the Archaeological Institute with Museums at the Bulgarian Academy
of Sciences, the Ministry of Culture, and the Union of the Architects in Bulgaria.
INTERNATIONAL
The Center has scholarly contacts with the Thracian University Demokritos,
Greece, the Thracian University at Edirne, Turkey, the Faculty of Arts at
Tel Aviv University, Israel, the Federal Technical University at Zurich, Swiss,
the UPenn University at Philadelphia, USA, and the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
The scholars working in the Center have specialized in Germany, Italy, France,
Russia, Greece, the Central European Universities in Prague and Budapest,
Switzerland. Some of them are members of the international organizations
such as ICOMOS, DOCOMOMO, and BSA.
