Design and methods for creation of innovative polymer composites with fungicidal activity against Phaeomoniella chlamydospora and Phaeoacremonium aleophilum

The project is focused on studying the possibilities for designing innovative polymer composites with fungicidal activity against two strains ascomycete fungi – Phaeomoniella chlamydospora and Phaeoacremonium aleophilum – associated with esca – the most devastating disease of grapevines. The envisaged fundamental studies will contribute to acquirement of new knowledge on the impact of the composition and structure of the innovative polymer composites on their interaction with P. chlamydospora and P. aleophilum, which is an excellent prerequisite for finding the strategy to protect plants from this major challenge.
