The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) is an international, non-profit and non-governmental scientific organization jointly created by the Chinese Academy of Sciences with major national, regional and international scientific and research institutions in the “Belt and Road” Region.

ANSO is committed to regional sustainable development, academic capacity building, S&T innovation cooperation and communication, and technology transfer by uniting scientific organizations and scientists in the “Belt and Road” Region. ANSO focuses on major, daunting scientific challenges and tries to mobilize both the public and private sectors to jointly address diverse development challenges. With the platform of ANSO, scientific organizations and scientists and experts from diverse backgrounds could enhance their efforts and cooperation in developing the communities of common interests, responsibility and goals, and in providing strong scientific basis for the Belt and Road construction.

At the founding meeting in China, the members of the ANSO General Assembly adopted the statute of the organization, outlined the development strategy and chose leadership.
