The “Codes of Identity. Faith, Language, Nation” exhibition was opened on 15 May 2025 at the National Anthropological Museum at the Institute of Experimental Morphology, Pathology and Anthropology of BAS.
The exhibition is dedicated to two key events in Bulgarian history: 1160 years since the conversion to Christianity and 1140 years since the arrival of Cyrillo-Methodian disciples in Bulgaria.
The opening was attended by the Vice-Presidents of BAS Prof. Emmanuel Moutafov and Prof. Shtelian Shterionov, as well as the Scientific Secretary-General of BAS Prof. Dr. Neli Koseva. In his welcoming speech, Prof. Moutafov stressed the importance of the topic presented in the exhibition and suggested that a catalogue be published to present the included epigraphic materials.
The exhibition is organized in partnership with the museums in Veliki Preslav, Provadia, Varna and Shumen and can be seen until 30 October 2025.
