The date is associated with two of the greatest logicians of the twentieth century. Kurt G\u00f6del died on 14 January 1978, and Alfred Tarski was born on 14 January 1901. On 13 November 2019, UNESCO declared 14 January as World Logic Day and included it in its calendar of International UNESCO Days. The event is extremely popular. Last year it was marked with 60 scientific forums in 35 countries, and this year there are currently requests for 45 scientific forums from 27 countries.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The specialists in logic at BAS and Sofia University &#8222;St. Kliment Ohridski\u201d will celebrate the World Logic Day together. The joint meeting of the Seminar on Algebra and Logic of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of BAS, the Seminar on Mathematical Logic of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University and the Seminar on Logic of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of BAS is included in the official program of Third World Logic Day <a href=\"https:\/\/wld.cipsh.international\/wld.html\">https:\/\/wld.cipsh.international\/wld.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It will present 10 scientific papers from the three institutions. <strong><em>Due to the many scientific events around the world, scheduled for 14 January, the management of the three seminars decided to hold the meeting online on 15 January 2021. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Official guests at the opening of the forum are H.E. Dr. Maria Edileuza Fontenele Reis, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Northern Macedonia, who as Ambassador of her country to UNESCO has great merits for the inclusion of World Logic Day in the UNESCO Calendar, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Karina Angelieva, Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, President of BAS, Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov, Rector of Sofia University \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d.
