Scientific Conference „150 Years of Immortality: Vasil Levski, the Revolution and the Future World\u201d was held on 6 February 2023 in Meeting Hall 1, SU \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d Rectorate. The organisers of the forum were the Institute for Historical Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“. The participants were welcomed by the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov and the Vice-Rector of Alma Mater Assoc. Prof. Georgi Valchev. The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture Assoc. Prof. Dr. Plamen Slavov, representatives of a National Initiative Committee, scientists and students.<\/p>\n The conference was attended by renowned researchers and leading young specialists who presented and discussed various aspects of Vasil Levski’s life and work in the context of European political thinking in the 19th century and the Bulgarian national liberation movement in the 1860s and 1870s.<\/p>\n The interest of the scholars was focused on the personality and work of Vasil Levski: the information in the Ottoman archives, the data about the Apostle’s last visit to Lovech, the contacts with the local government in Karlovo, etc. A new historiographical reading of the Arabakonak adventure and the committee work was also made.
