<\/a><\/p>\nThe Director of RIKEN<\/a> Europe Office Dr. Toshiyasu Ichioka visited the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences at the invitation of the President Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of BAS. RIKEN is the largest research institution in Japan, renowned for high quality research in a diverse range of scientific disciplines.<\/p>\n Dr. Ichioka met on 18 April with Prof. Julian Revalski and the Chief Scientific Secretary Prof. Neli Koseva. During their conversation, the RIKEN Director was introduced to the scientific activities and structure of BAS. After the meeting, Dr. Ichioka gave a lecture to the scientists of the Academy in \u201cProf. Marin Drinov\u201d Hall of BAS. He introduced them to the programmes of RIKEN and the opportunities for participation from the Bulgarian side.
