It was painted by the artists Ivan Monev and Maria Matovska on the northern facade of the building of the 93rd secondary school &#8222;Alexander Theodorov-Balan&#8220; on the capital&#8217;s Geo Milev Street \u2116 32.<\/p>\n<p>It was executed as part of the &#8222;Early Neolithic Settlement Slatina-Sofia: at the Dawn of European Civilization&#8220; \u00a0project of the National Archaeological Institute with Museum of BAS funded by the Culture Program of Sofia Municipality. The event was attended by the mayor of Slatina Municipality Georgi Iliev, the director of the 93rd school Evdokia Gergova, the authors of the mural and part of the team studying the Slatina Early Neolithic settlement: &#8211; Acad. Vassil Nikolov, Assoc. Prof. Desislava Takorova and the young scientist Violeta Stoitsova from NAIM &#8211; BAS.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time that such a type of popularization of one of the landmark sites of the first European civilization has been done. The mural presents some of the most interesting finds and motifs from the culture of the most ancient farmers and herders in the Sofia region and the Central Balkans.
