The results and innovative achievements of the scientists under the „Environmental Protection and Risk Reduction from Adverse Events and Natural Disasters“ National Scientific Programme are presented in a thematic collection of the same name edited by Corr. Memb. \u041a. Ganev and Prof. Boian Koulov. The 473-page publication was presented during the final scientific conference of the programme which took place on 6 February at BAS. The collection is intended for the general public as well as for state and municipal authorities.<\/p>\n

Corr. Memb. DSc Kostadin Ganev, the coordinator of the programme, opened the conference and moderated the first scientific session. During the event 12 scientific papers and 16 posters were presented. Among the many publications developed during the programme period, 99 papers with Q1 and Q2 indices were reported. Dr. Milena Damyanova, Head of the Science Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Science, gave a welcome speech to the conference participants. Among the attendees were also representatives of the media partner of the programme – the „Az-Buki“ National Publishing House for Education and Science.<\/p>\n
