Intermediate stage of the implementation of the research project „Adaptation of the labour market in the conditions of euro area membership: socio-economic dynamics, technological modernisation, demographic changes and educational restructuring“ were reported at the Economic Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It is funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund at the Ministry of Education and Science and is implemented jointly by ERI at BAS, the lead organization SU „St. Kliment Ohridski“ and the University of Reading in the UK.<\/p>\n

Six project papers were presented at the round table. The issues discussed were related to the labour supply in Bulgaria for the period 2003-2024, the expected effects of our accession to the euro area, shadow work, employment in the green transition, labour productivity dynamics, the development of the institutional framework of the EU labour market, etc.<\/p>\n

The project has also established a Joint Research Centre in the field of innovative labour market policies in Bulgaria which has been opened in the building of ERI at BAS.<\/p>\n
