The exhibition is by Sasho Stoitzov and is entitled &#8222;Messy Beads&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition was initiated and opened by the President of the General Assembly of BAS Prof. Vassil Kirov. &#8222;The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences has a serious collection of classical Bulgarian art. The time has come to look at contemporary Bulgarian art, to open our spaces in the Academy and its campuses,&#8220; Prof. Kirov said.<\/p>\n<p>The curator of the exhibition Diana Draganova-Stier presented the artist and his works which are exhibited before the public for the first time. &#8222;The exhibition creates a kind of bridge between contemporary art, the building and the history that the Academy carries,&#8220; she said.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition can be viewed in the BAS-Administration Central Lobby until June 23.<\/p>\n<p><em>According to the organizers, Sasho Stoit<\/em><em>z<\/em><em>ov is one of the most remarkable and intriguing artists in contemporary Bulgarian art. With his rich creative biography, we can boldly use the expression &#8222;<\/em><em>motor<\/em><em>&#8220; in contemporary art. The artist reacted to the transition and changes in <\/em><em>the far <\/em><em>1989, rethinking and analyzing the symbols of the recent past to arrive at the series of works begun in New York which abruptly changed the perspective of his search.
