Academician Vladimir Zarev is the winner of the „Hristo G. Danov“ Grand Prize for overall contribution to the national literary culture. The literary awards are given in eight categories, and the grand prize is determined by the Minister of Culture.<\/p>\n

Minister Marian Bachev presented the award to Acad. Zarev at a meeting held yesterday in his office.<\/p>\n

The official award ceremony for the other winners in the different categories was held on 22 September in Plovdiv.<\/p>\n

Acad. Zarev was also awarded in 2017 with the „St. Paisii of Hilendar\u201d State Prize for his \u201coutstanding contribution to the development of national cultural identity and spiritual values\u201d; in 2019, he received the \u201cStara Planina\u201d Order, first degree, \u201cfor his outstanding services in the field of culture and art\u201d.
