The Forum was opened by Corr. Memb. Evdokia Pasheva, DSc, Vice-President of BAS, and Ms Yanita Zherkova, Director of the Science Directorate, Ministry of Education and Science.<\/p>\n<p>Leading specialists and researchers from the country and abroad discussed current topics, innovations and best practices in the field of material science, archaeology, safeguarding and preservation of cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Seventy-nine researchers from sixteen scientific institutions participated in the conference, including restorers from the Getty Museum and the Los Angeles Central Conservation &amp; Restoration Laboratory. Over thirty papers and forty posters were presented.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was organized by the \u201cAcad.
