The President of BAS, Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva met today at BAS with Acad. Yongguan Zhu, professor in biogeochemistry and soil environmental sciences, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Vice-President of its International Science Council.<\/p>\n

Acad. Zhu presented the 2021-2025 \u201cUrban Health and <\/a>Wellbeing in the Anthropocene<\/a>\u201d Action Plan developed under the International Science Council’s Programme of the same name. Corr. Memb. Slavcheva presented the structure of BAS, the scientific divisions and the scientific cooperation with Chinese organizations.<\/p>\n

Opportunities for postdoctoral fellowships and exchanges of young scientists, collaboration in different fields of science, and the transdisciplinary approach in science – the impact of research on society, the political process and the economy were discussed.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Prof. Neli Koseva, Scientific Secretary-General of BAS, Prof. Rumiana Jeleva from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of BAS and representatives of the embassy of PRC in Sofia.<\/p>\n
