The joint initiative of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Austrian Embassy in Sofia gave pupils from schools in the capital the opportunity to learn about the work of Academy scientists in various scientific fields. To mark the conclusion of the initiative, they were congratulated by the Vice-President of BAS, Corr. Memb. Evdokia Pasheva, and the Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Ms. Andrea Ikic-B\u00f6hm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn just one day, you have stepped into the world of scientific research,\u201d said H.E. Iki\u0107-B\u00f6hm in her address to the participants, emphasizing that she hoped this would leave a lasting impression. She recalled that the initiative, launched in the context of International Women\u2019s Day, aimed to encourage young women to realize their potential in the field of science. The pursuit of knowledge is important for everyone.
