On 24 September 2026, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Institute of Art Studies \u2013 BAS and the \u201cProf. Pancho Vladigerov\u201d National Academy of Music. The document was signed by Prof. Dr. Joanna Spassova-Dikova, Director of the Institute, and Prof. Dr. Sava Dimitrov, Rector of the NAM. The aim of the agreement is to strengthen the fruitful bilateral relations between the two organisations which currently exist on an informal basis. As academic and cultural institutions, IAS \u2013 BAS and NAM have the potential to carry out joint initiatives that develop and enrich contemporary Bulgarian musical culture and education, promote current creative achievements and support the work of doctoral students, young scholars and qualified specialists in the field of music and arts research. The agreement creates and expands opportunities for organising lectures and seminars, conducting training courses and student placements as well as for developing project-based PhD programmes on specific topics and promoting leading research publications and new ideas.<\/p>\n
