Sylvia Varhoshkova, PhD student at the Institute of Molecular Biology at BAS, represented Bulgaria at the 11th International Final of the competition “My Thesis in 180 Seconds” which took place on October 2 in Bucharest, Romania. After winning the first prize at the national final of the competition which took place on 28 May this year at the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall of BAS, Sylvia Varhoshkova presented her dissertation topic “Role and dynamics of FET proteins at sites of complex DNA damage” to an international audience. The international conference "Skills for Labour Markets in the Green and Digital Transition", part of the European research project SkiLMeeT (https://skilmeet.eu/) which brings together 70 participants from 23 countries is taking place in the central building of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences - BAS. The event is focusing on key questions for the future: how green and digital transformation are changing jobs, education and the skills needed.
