The Vice-President of BAS, Prof. Emmanuel Moutafov, was the chairman of the commission. Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov presented the “St. Paisius of Hilendar” State Award to Prof. Hristo Yotsov at a ceremony held today in the Granite Hall of the Council of Ministers. At a ceremony in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Angel Zlatkov from the Institute of Balkan Studies & Centre of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences was awarded the “Danubius” Young Scientist Award of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research of the Republic of Austria and the Institute for Danube Region and Central Europe. Introduced in 2014, the “Danubius” Award seeks to highlight the scientific work and talent of young researchers and enhance the visibility of the scientific community in the region. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse, a series of events were held between November 10 and 12, 2025.
