The President of BAS presents awards at the Academic Oscars ceremony

The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of the Academy, attended the ceremony "Academic Oscars" for 2023, organized by the "24 hours" newspaper. The awards are based on the Rating System of Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria, an annual ranking organized by the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) and a consortium including the Open Society Institute and the Sirma Group. Students from Bulgarian Sunday schools visit BAS

Students from the Bulgarian Sunday schools in Cologne and Paris visited the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and saw valuable publications kept in the Central Library of BAS. They were shown the oldest Bulgarian printed book - "Nedelnik" by Sophronius of Vratsa of 1806 and the first Bulgarian grammar by Neofit Rilski of 1832. The students and their teachers also got acquainted with the first edition of the "Fish Primer" by Dr. Petar Beron which is one of the most valuable possessions of the Central Library of BAS. During their visit, the children learned interesting facts from the history of the oldest institution in modern Bulgaria. The first hydrogen charging station in Bulgaria is now part of the infrastructure of the “HITMOBIL” Centre of Competence with the lead organization IEES-BAS

The laboratory will carry out pre-industrial scale research on the production of energy from renewable energy sources (RES), its storage in various battery and hydrogen systems, its supply to battery and hydrogen electric vehicle charging stations and to the electricity grid, as part of the activities of the "Experimental Development" Module of the Hitmobil CoC with IEES-BAS as the lead organisation.
