The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of the Academy, participated in the 63rd Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSECO), which was held from 13 to 15 May in Tirana, Albania. For the third consecutive year, some of the most popular buildings and urban spaces in Sofia were transformed by 3D mapping and light installations within the third edition of the LUNAR Festival of Lights - 2024. For the first year, the Central Building of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences was included in the programme of the festival which took place from 9 to 12 May. The light installations also convey different messages about topics such as the preservation of the planet, the power of personal choice, freedom of self-expression, and technological development. The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of the Academy, attended today the opening of the first hydrogen fuelling station for Bulgaria and the region. It is part of the infrastructure of the "Integrated Energy Systems" Field Laboratory of the "HITMOBIL" Centre of Competence and marks the beginning of hydrogen electric mobility in the country. In the construction of the facility, the main contractors are the DELECTRA, AQUACHIM and MONBAT companies. The hydrogen fuelling station, made by the Austrian company EDC-ANLAGENTECHNIK, has fuelling capabilities at the two standard pressures for compressed hydrogen - 350 and 700 bar.
