On 28.05. at 6 p.m., the third concert of the “MUSICORUM VIA. Two academies – one stage” series took place. Talented students from the Instrumental Faculty of the “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” National Music Academy performed works by French composers in front of the full hall of BAS. The programme included opuses by Ravel, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Poulenc and others. Particularly impressive were the performances on violin by Viktor Trenev and piano on four hands (Yana Chupetlovska and Konstantin Krondev) which led the listeners to enthusiasm for the mastery of the young musicians and provoked well-deserved compliments to their teachers. The trumpeter Hristian Dimitrov also impressed with his virtuoso musical phrases. The high quality concert grand piano which has recently been in the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall as well as the refined acoustics of the historic salon also contributed to the unique experience in the centre of Sofia.
The next concerts of MUSICORUM VIA at BAS are on 12, 13, 19 May. The first concert next week is entitled “Spring Walk” and the audience will be able to enjoy baroque and twentieth century music performed by the students of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mariana Pencheva. At the festive assembly on 23 May at 11 a.m., students from the Instrumental Faculty of NMA will once again perform a short musical program on the occasion of the celebration of the Bulgarian alphabet and enlightenment.
