The “Blue Coastal Marine and Riverine Innovative & Sustainable Management of Environments and Resources – BLUE-CRISTAL” Centre of Competence was officially launched on 28 and 29 July with a workshop organized by the Institute of Oceanology – BAS – Varna.
The consortium includes leading scientific and academic institutions, with lead partner Institute of Oceanology – BAS, Varna, “Angel Kanchev” University of Ruse, Centre of Hydro- and Aerodynamics – Varna at the “Acad. А. Balevski” Institute of Metal Science, Equipment and Technologies of BAS, Institute of Fish Resources – AAS, Varna,“NY Vaptsarov” Naval Academy and “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov” State University, Burgas. The project is implemented within the framework of the “Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Intelligent Transformation” (RIDIT) programme, co-funded by the European Union.
A congratulatory address on behalf of the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences was presented by the Vice-President of the Academy Prof. Shtelian Shterionov.
