The Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems at BAS held an Open Day on 16 October. High school students from “Paisius of Hilendar” Sofia High School of Mathematics, students from the University for Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia, lecturers from American College – Sofia and seventh graders from the “Prof. Vasil Zlatarski” Secondary School for Western and Eastern Languages together with their teachers visited the institute and met the scientists. During the initiative, they learned more about the mission and research directions of the institute, as well as about the different types of electrochemical systems for energy storage and conversion.

In the laboratories, they had the opportunity to observe experiments and learn about innovative developments in battery and hydrogen technology. The first hydrogen electric vehicle registered in Bulgaria, owned by IEES-BAS for the research needs of “HITMOBIL” CoC, was also presented. Read more about the event at https://www.iees.bas.bg/bg
