The President of BAS, Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva, presented the honorary award “FOR SERVICE TO BAS” to Prof. Vladko Panayotov. The Academy’s Governing Council awarded the distinction to Corresponding Member Panayotov for his scientific and applied contributions to metallurgy and in connection with his 75th birthday.
Corr. Memb. Panayotov is a renowned scientist in the fields of chemistry, mining, environmental enrichment and protection, with numerous publications and scientific developments that are highly regarded in Bulgaria and internationally. He is an active member of scientific communities and participates in a number of commissions and expert councils, supporting the development of science and education in the country.
