On December 11, Academician Ivan Juhnovski, Chairman of the Forum for Combating Pseudoscience at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, together with Corr. Memb. Dr. Tsvetalina Tankova, Acad. Ivan Ivanov, Acad. Ivan Zagorchev, and Prof. Ivan Ivanov submitted a report to Alexander Kolyachev, President of the Commission for Consumer Protection, regarding false, misleading, and deceptive advertising and descriptions of 46 homeopathic medicinal products currently on sale. The grounds and evidence for this report are detailed studies of the chemical composition of the homeopathic sugar granules in question which show that they contain billions of times more inorganic salts and elements than stated on the labels and in their descriptions, part of the nomenclature of the Boiron homeopathic company. Furthermore, they cannot be considered homeopathic medicinal products.

The report calls for the sale of these homeopathic products to be stopped because of serious violations of the Consumer Protection Act and the Medicinal Products in Human Medicine Act.
