The scientific collection “Loqui diversis linguas nolite prohibere”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the prominent medievalist from the Cyrillo-Methodian Research Center of BAS Prof. Dr. Slavia Barlieva, was presented on February 12 in the “Acad. Ivan E. Geshov” Hall of BAS.

The Vice-President of BAS Prof. Shtelian Shterionov and the Scientific Secretary of the “Cultural-Historical Heritage and National Identity” division, Assoc. Prof. Mario Ivanov, honored the event.

The collection was presented by Assoc. Prof. Maya Ivanova (CMRC). The joint scientific work contains 41 articles by medievalists and paleoslavists from 10 European countries – Albania, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, and Slovenia, and is thematically divided into the research fields of Prof. S. With the academic celebration, the CMRC marked the blessed Repose of St. Cyril Slavo-Bulgarian.

On February 13, in the interactive corner of the “Earth and Man” Museum, Assoc. Prof. Desislava Najdenova gave a lecture and presentation on “The Secret Life of Letters: Glagolitic and Bulgarian Medieval Manuscripts.”
