The President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Corr. Memb. Evelina Slavcheva, and the Scientific Secretary-General of the Academy, Prof. Neli Koseva, paid a working visit to the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Paris on March 9. During an official ceremony, the agreement for scientific cooperation between BAS and CNRS was renewed. The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Radka Balabanova-Ruleva, Ambassador of Bulgaria to France.
The new agreement aims to promote scientific exchange and the development of joint research activities between Bulgarian and French scientists. During the meeting, Prof. Neli Koseva presented the activities and priorities of BAS, as well as the Academy’s cooperation with CNRS under the EU framework programs. Prof. Alain Schuhl Deputy CEO of CNRS for Science, presented the structure and international activities of the organization.
Corr. Memb. Slavcheva and Prof. Koseva also visited the LISE Laboratory – Laboratory of Interfaces and Electrochemical Systems at CNRS.
During their two-day visit to Paris, the BAS delegation discussed opportunities for joint initiatives with H.E. Radka Balabanova-Ruleva.
