Academician Chavdar Roumenin and Corresponding Member Georgi Todorov were awarded the Order of Sts. Cyril and Methodius at a ceremony held today in the Coat of Arms Hall of the Presidency. President Iliana Iotova honored Acad. Roumenin with the Order of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, Collar, for his contributions to science and technology. He is a leading scientist and expert in robotics, sensor technology, and artificial intelligence at the Institute of Robotics of BAS. He is the head of the QUASAR Center of Competence.
Corr. Memb. Todorov received the Order of St. Cyril and St. Methodius, First Class, for his contributions to education and science. He is a leading scientist and lecturer in engineering sciences. He has established himself as a researcher of international standing in the field of 3D technologies and engineering analysis. The official ceremony at the Presidency was attended by the Vice-President of BAS, Corr. Memb. Evdokia Pasheva.
