Students from the Bulgarian Sunday schools in Cologne and Paris visited the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and saw valuable publications kept in the Central Library of BAS. They were shown the oldest Bulgarian printed book – “Nedelnik” by Sophronius of Vratsa of 1806 and the first Bulgarian grammar by Neofit Rilski of 1832. The students and their teachers also got acquainted with the first edition of the “Fish Primer” by Dr. Petar Beron which is one of the most valuable possessions of the Central Library of BAS.

During their visit, the children learned interesting facts from the history of the oldest institution in modern Bulgaria. They toured the building of the Academy and were welcomed by the President Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of BAS.
