The President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of the BAS, has met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Sofia H.E. Dai Qingli today at the Academy.
Prof. Revalski presented the current joint projects between the scientists of BAS, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) which are long-standing partners of the Academy. During the meeting, the bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and China in the field of scientific research and in particular in the field of space research was discussed. It was agreed to hold a meeting with taikonauts from the Chinese Space Station in October this year.
The meeting will be organized with the kind assistance of the Embassy of China in Sofia and a co-organizer on Bulgarian side the Space Research and Technology Institute of BAS.
Prof. Denitsa Borisova, Scientific Secretary of the “Astronomy, Space Research and Technology“ division and the Second Secretary of the Embassy attended the meeting.
