Prof. Dr. August Ivanov, Director of the Institute of Robotics of BAS, is listed in the Golden Book of Bulgarian Discoverers and Inventors. He is the only scientist to be awarded the highest distinction by the Patent Office for 2024. The President of the Patent Office Olya Dimitrova announced the name of Prof. Ivanov at an official ceremony held today at the Central Patent Library. The exhibition "Chronicles of Steel. Cold Weapons of the Bulgarian Middle Ages" was opened on December 11 at the National Archaeological Institute with Museum of BAS. The exposition presents the culture of war in the Bulgarian lands in the Middle Ages through the most iconic weapons of the era - swords, sabres and combat knives. On 04.12.2024, the Human Resource Development Centre held the Valorization Conference 2024 on “Green Technology and Sustainable Development in the Education and Youth Sector”. The project of BAS No. 2021-1-BG01-KA131-HED-000009115 under the Erasmus+ programme was highly appreciated and awarded with a Quality Label.
