Concert-performance dedicated to Halloween “rocks” the Academy

A concert-performance dedicated to Halloween was held on 27 October in “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall. Participants were students and PhD students from “Pop and Jazz Singing”, “Classical Singing”, “Operetta and Musical” and “Music and Stage Direction” majors at the Vocal Faculty of “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” NMA from the “Acting” class of Prof. Dr Violeta Gorcheva, asst. Antonio Dachovski and asst. Stanislava Rizova. “"Shadows’ Ball" is inspired by Halloween. It is our interpretation of the holiday. It includes operetta, jazz and pop songs from musicals which have a new story,” the director of the show, Prof. Gorcheva, said. MUSICORUM VIA: winners of academic competitions on the stage at BAS

Concert of students-winners of academic competitions of the “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” National Music Academy, part of the “MUSICORUM VIA. Two Academies - One Stage” initiative took place on 20 October at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The Vice-President of BAS Prof. Emmanuel Moutafov welcomed the guests. Enthusiasm, flowers and applause among the audience were aroused by the performances of the participants in the concert evening. Deyan Tabashki, Jia Hao, Yoana Zadikyan, Sima Chi, Teodora Tosheva, Qi Yixuan, Victor Teodosiev and Yan Aoxue presented works by C.W.Gluck, F. Chopin, G.  Puccini, G. Enescu, P. Vladigerov, P. Hadjiev and M. Arnold. At the piano: Viviana Grudanska, Zornitsa Getova, Zornitsa Radionova and Tatiana Bozhko. Broadway musicals on the stage of BAS

Iconic musicals came to life on the stage of “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall at BAS. Students and PhD students from the “Pop and Jazz Singing”, “Operetta and Musical” and “Music and Stage Direction” majors from the acting class of Prof. Violeta Gorcheva from the Vocal Faculty of the National Music Academy gave a concert-performance entitled “Sing with Broadway!” on October 6. In front of a crowded hall, the young artists performed parts from the “Chicago”, “The Greatest Showman”, “Les Misérables” and “Welcome to Burlesque” musicals. Their performances presented also attractive choreography including off-stage performances. The youngsters showed enviable movement, breathing and singing skills simultaneously - without a microphone and accompanied only by a grand piano. The “MUSICORUM VIA. Two Academies – One Stage” concerts continue in September at BAS

MUSICORUM VIA has ended the academic year 2024-2025 at BAS The season of our new initiative "MUSICORUM VIA. Two academies - one stage" ended yesterday with a concert of PhD students from the "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" National Music Academy in the "Prof. Marin Drinov" Hall of BAS-Administration. This is the tenth concert in the series of performances of NMA students and lecturers to the academic community and the citizens of the capital. Works by J. С. Bach, Huang Tzu, J. Popular arias performed by young talents on the BAS stage

A concert under the title "Spring Walk" was performed by the graduates of the National Music Academy last night at the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall. Students of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mariana Pencheva presented performances from the Baroque to the music of the 20th century. The program included popular arias from operas by Mozart, Wagner, Georg Handel, Gaetano Donizetti and others. Particularly impressive were the performances of some Master's students, as well as the countertenor Yordan Petev from the Vocal Faculty.
