The International Center for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS) at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics – BAS is organizing the “First Annual Meeting of Young Bulgarian Mathematicians” which will be held online on 19 and 20 May 2021.

The meeting is dedicated to the most holy Bulgarian holiday – the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and the Slavonic Literature – 24 May. Its aim is to bring together young Bulgarian mathematicians working around the world and to introduce some of their most significant achievements to the mathematical community.

The event will be attended by outstanding young Bulgarian mathematicians working in prestigious academic institutions in Bulgaria and around the world. Some of them have been competitors in the Bulgarian national teams for the International Mathematics Olympiad and are former graduates of the High School Students’ Institute of Mathematics and Informatics.

The organizers of the “First Annual Meeting of Young Bulgarian Mathematicians” aim to enrich the relations between young mathematicians working in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian mathematical diaspora, and also to support the professional development of young Bulgarian scientists by introducing them to new opportunities offered by national and European scientific programs.

Participants in the first annual meeting of young Bulgarian mathematicians are:

Alexander Petkov, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”

Alexandra Kyuchukova, University of Notre Dame, USA

Antoni Rangachev, University of Chicago, USA
