Conference on Constantine of Preslav’s Uchitel’noe evangelie (‘Didactic Gospel’)

On 25-27 April 2023, an International Scientific Conference "Constantine of Preslav’s Uchitel’noe Evangelie and the South Slavonic Homiletic Texts (IX-XIII century): Philological and Interdisciplinary Aspects" was held in Sofia. The scientific forum was organized by the Institute of Balkan Studies with Center of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences within the project "The Vocabulary of Constantine of Preslav's Uchitel'noe evangelie ('Didactic Gospel'): Old Bulgarian-Greek and Greek-Old Bulgarian Word Indices", funded by the Bulgarian National Science Fund (contract No. KP-06-H50/2). Partner in the event was the Regional History Museum - Sofia. Over 100 scholars gathered at the International Conference of the Institute for Art Studies of BAS “Art Studies Readings”

The traditional international conference of the Institute for Art Studies of BAS "Art Studies Readings" was held in two modules - from 20 to 22 April the scholars from the "Old Art" module presented their research, and from 27 to 29 April - from the "New Art". The event was supported by the Bulgarian National Science Fund and the Ministry of Education and Science. The theme of the conference this year is "Metamorphoses". BAS develops a platform for collaboration with business

More than 350 participants in the third edition of "Science for Business" A platform for cooperation with business, which will present the developments of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, is prepared by the Joint Innovation Centre of BAS. It will include a virtual demonstration centre with products and technologies of BAS, a registry with the Academy's intellectual property and a virtual business incubator for start-up companies. Exhibition “Notes on Bulgarian Orchids” and presentation of the book “Orchids in Bulgaria”

The exhibition "Notes on Bulgarian Orchids" was opened at the National Museum of Natural History of BAS (NMNHS) on 25 April and the book "Orchids in Bulgaria" was presented. The exhibition can be viewed in the Botany Hall of the museum until the end of the year. The book is a unique phototype edition of a manuscript with botanical notes and drawings by Lyuben Domozetski. Visit of European Battery Alliance representatives to IEES-BAS

Declaration on the accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Battery Alliance (EBA250) was signed on 24 April 2023 in Sofia TechPark. The document was signed by Marcin Wasilewski, Chief Executive Officer of EIT InnoEnergy for Central Europe and Bogdan Bogdanov, Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA). IBA will be the official representative of our country in the European Battery Alliance. Ecology of the Black Sea – from molecule to ecosystem

On the occasion of the Earth Day innovative scientific research and projects on the topic: ECOLOGY OF THE BLACK SEA - FROM THE MOLECULE TO THE ECOSYSTEM were presented on April 21, 2023 in “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
