Preparation of innovative antimicrobial and antitumor electrospun materials from mucoadhesive and biocompatible polymers and chelating agents from the 8-quinolinol group
The project aims at the creation of innovative polymer materials with purposely tailored properties and improved design containing low-molecular-weight compounds with chelating properties and biological activity. For this purpose natural polysaccharides and biocompatible synthetic polymers will be combined with selected compounds with antimicrobial action and antitumor activity using the advanced technique of electrospinning – alone or in conjunction with electrospraying or dip coating. Funding: Bulgarian National Science Fund, Grant КP-06-N39/13/2019
