The Institute for State and Law of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is organising a scientific conference in honour of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Zhivko Stalev and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Vitali Tadzher. The forum in memory of the two prominent scholars in the field of law will be held on 19 and 20 May under the title "Current Issues in Private Law and Civil Trial". The conference will be attended by established scholars as well as many young researchers and PhD students in the field of law from BAS and law faculties in the country. The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member of the Academy, talked with the Ambassador of Cuba to our country H.E. Mrs. Caridad Yamira Cueto Milián in the Academy. The possibilities for activating the cooperation of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Cuban Academy of Sciences and the University of Havana were discussed during the meeting. They talked about future cooperation between Bulgarian and Cuban scientists in various fields of scientific research - with emphasis on medicine and biomedicine.  

The first amount raised in the donation campaign of the Assembly of Academicians and Corresponding Members of BAS for the victims of the conflict in Ukraine was transferred to the Bulgarian Red Cross. Thirty-three thousand leva have been donated by the academicians and corresponding members so far. The fundraising initiative continues.
