9th National conference with international participation: “Morphological Days”

The Institute of Experimental Morphology, Pathology and Anthropology with Museum (IEMPAM) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with the Bulgarian Anatomical Society, organized the 9th National Conference with International Participation, “Morphological Days” which took place from June 12 to 14, 2026, at Interpred – WTC Sofia. The scientific forum brought together scientists, lecturers, and researchers from universities and institutes in Bulgaria and abroad working in the field of experimental morphology at the cellular, organ, systemic, and organismal levels. Scientists discuss the possibilities of tissue engineering and skin modeling at BAS

Recent advances in the refinement of human skin model systems and their possible applications in various fields of biomedicine: this is the hot topic that brought together more than 100 scientists from 28 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Finland and Türkiye. BAS honoured the Institute of Experimental Morphology, Pathology and Anthropology with Museum with an honorary plaquette on the occasion of its 70th anniversary

  The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences honoured the Institute of Experimental Morphology, Pathology and Anthropology with a Museum (IEMPAM) with a GOLDEN honorary plaquette at a solemn ceremony held at the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall. The award is for outstanding contributions to scientific and applied research in the field of experimental morphology and pathology, anthropology and museum studies.
