Key figures in the history of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences presents an exhibition of the Central Library of BAS (CL-BAS) with 26 panels in the outdoor gallery in the Crystal Garden. The exposition “Founders and Scientists of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences” was opened by the Director of CL-BAS Dr. Silvia Naydenova and the Vice-President of BAS corresponding member Vassil Nikolov.

The exhibition shows the most distinguished scientists, inventors and researchers of the Academy, said the director of CL-BAS, Dr. Silvia Naydenova. Four panels are dedicated to the founders of the Bulgarian Learned Society Marin Drinov, Vasil D. Stoyanov, Vasil Drumev and Ivan Evstratiev Geshov, as well as to the next several presidents of BAS.

The Board of BAS continues the mission of its predecessors to popularize the deed of the prominent personalities who created the Academy and laid the foundations of science in Bulgaria, said the Vice-President, corresponding member Vassil Nikolov.

The exposition “Founders and Scientists of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences” is on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Academy and can be viewed until 21 October in the outdoor gallery in the Crystal Garden.
