The President of BAS Prof. Julian Revalski, Member of the Academy, presented a GOLDEN honorary plaquette to the Director of the Institute for Literature Assoc. Prof. Penka Vatova on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of founding of the Institute. The celebration was held today at the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Hall of the Academy.

The Institute for Literature has established itself as one of the most important research centers of literature in Bulgaria. As scholars, you are confidently using new technologies in the creation of literary corpora, said in his address Prof. Revalski.

Work on scholarly projects was a highlight in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Institute for Literature. Scholars presented their work on 11 projects with different funding sources. The projects cover various aspects of literary history and include research on little-studied Bulgarian artists, said Director Assoc. Prof. Penka Vatova. She announced that over the last 15 years the scholars have successfully completed work on a total of 80 projects.

The literary scholar Dr. Radosvet Kolarov was awarded the honorary badge of the Institute for Literature. The prize was awarded for his contribution to raising the international prestige of Bulgarian humanities.
