Fifth edition of the “Science for Business” forum with networking, 3 June 2025, Vitosha Hall, Inter Expo Center
After four successful editions, the “Science for Business” Forum has become a key enabler of innovation, technological progress and economic development. Driven by the long-standing and successful partnership to accelerate the interaction between science and business in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) will for the fifth consecutive year meet Bulgarian entrepreneurs with the achievements of the scientific community.
The fifth edition of the “Science for Business” Forum will be held on June 3, 2025 in Vitosha Hall, Inter Expo Center, Sofia.
The event is an excellent opportunity for science, in the face of the Academy and its research institutes, to present working scientific discoveries and products to the business community, and for companies to recognize their implementation and impose them in practice and on the market. The previous four editions of “Science for Business” are proof that the scientific and entrepreneurial ecosystems contribute to the country’s economic development by hosting events of this scale.
The event will focus public attention on the importance of scientific research and its role in increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy, and in introducing new technologies and innovations. Researchers from BAS will introduce entrepreneurs to scientifically applied technologies, developments and projects that need partnership with business or other scientific institutions – a new principle for obtaining nuclear energy; an unmanned robotic system for automated data collection from land-based and/or underwater sensors; implementation of an instrument for lifetime research of a PEM electrolysis cell; from garbage to valuable raw material: conversion of waste biomass into sustainable energy storage material; PV module and cell testing, etc.
Within the forum, there is an expo area where the Academy’s research institutes will present their latest developments with individual stands. Business representatives will have the opportunity to get acquainted with them and hold bilateral meetings.
