A new Agreement for bilateral scientific cooperation was signed by the Presidents of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) Prof. Julian Revalski, Full Member, and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Acad. Isa Habibbayli. The ceremony took place at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, in the presence of the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria H. E. Dr. Hussein Husseinov

The agreement aims to strengthen scientific cooperation between the two academies and expand relations in various scientific fields. These are information and communication sciences and technologies, artificial intelligence, seismology, climate change and risks, space research and technologies, cultural heritage and national identity, man and society and language, culture and arts.

 

 

The Academies will cooperate in the development and implementation of joint scientific projects, promotion of training and exchange of scientists, scientific information, editions and publications, as well as the organisation of joint scientific events.

Valuable publications were donated by the President of ANAS Acad. Isa Habibbayli to the Academy. Representatives of the leadership of the two academies attended the signing ceremony.

Within the framework of their visit to Bulgaria, the delegation from the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences visited the National Archaeological Museum, the National Ethnographic Museum, the National Anthropological Museum and the Institute of Literature of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and got acquainted with the new achievements and current projects of the scientists of the Academy.
